We all have experienced fear at one time or another. Some of us have experience terror, which causes trauma, some of us live in constant fear and doubt.
The two emotions that create the spectrum are Love and Fear, everything else falls in between and is a derived of one or the other. There are all kinds of fears and fear gets us to act/react one way or the other. There are simple fears, like one of mine is heights, I avoid heights because of it. If in a tall building, I do not go to windows and look down. Duh! You will not see me jumping from a perfect good airplane with a parachute on my back either. Sure, I could work on the fear of heights, I chose not to. I don’t have to deal with it often.
And there are the more complicated fears that keep us from doing great things, building dreams, enjoying wonderful relationships and creating a beautiful life. To name a few of those: fear of commitment, fear of failure, fear of success, fear of intimacy/connection, fear of the unknown, fear of initiating/starting something that has never been done… those fears keep us from the greatness on the other side of going through them.
Find the fear that keeps you from being you, from your dreams, your goals and your best self. Why is it there? What created it? What caused it? What feeds/keeps it alive in your soul? Facing each of those things will make the fear smaller and smaller, arriving at a point you can let it go.
It never ceases to amaze me how accustomed to fear we can get. It is like it becomes a part of us. Time to identify, be aware of it and start getting rid of it.
Fear is as powerful as you make it, or gone as you release yourself from the grasp it has on you.
